Bio

“I chase those split-second moments when wind and water become living sculpture—its power, texture, and light harnessed in an unrepeatable instant.”

Ray Phillips is a photographer who for the past five years has devoted his skills to revealing the spiritual majesty of storm waves along Cornwall’s coastline. His images invite viewers into a space of exhilaration and humility: positioned perilously close to crashing surf, each frame becomes a study of calm versus chaos. The result is a body of work that feels at once elemental and immediate.

He has established a worldwide reputation for his work. His photographs are published in Vogue and GQ magazine and are held in private collections worldwide.
